Medacs Healthcare provide a fully managed forensic medical examination service to police forces nationwide. Through our dedicated secure 24hour response centre, we arrange appropriate telephone medical advice or medical support to custody suites, delivered through a team of Forensic Medical Examiners (FMEs) and Custody Nurses.

How We Work

Medacs Healthcare operates with individual Candidate and Client teams so that they can maximise the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. This enables us to work with the optimum level of efficiency, providing both Candidates and Clients the support they require, whilst being able to drive down overall response times.

Each Candidate is appointed a dedicated Liaison Officer accessed through a single point of contact. The Liaison Team is responsible for ensuring that individual requirements are correctly established and operational procedures are strictly adhered to.

Our dedicated Operations Centre operates a fully manned service, 24hours, 365 days per year, meaning you have advice on hand at all times.

Our Operations Centre acts as the central control room. The highly trained call handlers are experienced in dealing with clinical and operational pressures and are able to prioritise calls.

Candidate Opportunities

Medacs Healthcare can offer candidates a wide variety of opportunities through our contracts with:

  • Devon and Cornwall Constabulary (DCC)
  • Northern Constabulary
  • Tayside Constabulary

All of these contracts has been in force for at least two years and DCC has now been successfully re-tendered for after its full term of five years.
