Nigel Marsh
Chief Executive
Nigel Marsh joined Medacs Healthcare in July 2003 as Managing Director,becoming
Chief Executive Officer of the Medacs Healthcare Group in October 2007.
He has 22 years experience within the healthcare market both in the UK and overseas.
Nigel joined Medacs Healthcare from AXA PPP Healthcare where he held a number of roles across the Group,
culminating in the position of Strategy and Business Development Director.
During this time Nigel was involved in the acquisition of a number of new businesses and the introduction
of new products and worked extensively with other AXA healthcare businesses based overseas.
Prior to this, Nigel worked for an insurance company based in Australia and is a qualified accountant.
Richard Olney
Finance Director
Richard Olney joined Medacs Healthcare in January 2008. He has 10 years experience
in the recruitment sector, 7 of which have been at board level. He qualified as
a chartered accountant with Price WaterhouseCoopers and was a manager in their Corporate
Finance Division before moving to industry in 1995.
Claire Evans
HR Director
Claire joined Medacs Healthcare in April 2003 as HR Business Partner, becoming HR Director in October 2007. Claire has 16 years HR experience both in the UK and overseas.
Prior to joining Medacs Healthcare, Claire was a Call Centre Manager in the travel industry having gained experience in sales management and call centres in her role as Telesales Manager for Prudential Direct. Whilst living in Australia, Claire worked for GE Capital Fleet Services as their National Client Services Manager and for National Mutual (now part of AXA) in Customer Service management roles. She gained her initial experience in HR whilst working for National Mutual in New Zealand.
Steve Moore
Managing Director Doctors & Professionals
Steve Moore joined Medacs Healthcare in February 2004 as Sales & Marketing Director
and was appointed to his current role in September 2007. Steve joined Medacs Healthcare
from the Spring Group where he was Sales & Operations Director. Prior to that Steve
worked for the Xerox Corporation for a period of 15 years in a variety of Sales
and Management roles.
Trish Davidson
Head of Nursing and Social Care
Trish Davidson joined Medacs Healthcare in October 2005. She has 8 years healthcare
recruitment experience. Trish joined Medacs Healthcare from what was formally Corinth
Healthcare and prior to that was responsible for setting up a small healthcare recruitment
company in Cheshire.
Sue Smithson
Head of UK Permanent
Sue has been with Medacs Healthcare since 2007. Her previous role was as Operations
Director for Translocation largely working on Nursing and Allied Health Professional
recruitment from overseas. Sue is a Registered Nurse and has over 20 years NHS experience
in a variety of acute and managerial posts. Sue has vast experience in recruiting
healthcare staff from overseas.
Andrew Preston
Managing Director Managed Healthcare
Andrew joined Medacs Healthcare in December 2007 as Managing Director. He has a
vast knowledge of the world health market having worked and delivered health services
in the UK, Europe, Australia, NZ, South Africa, South America and North America.
Andrew joined Medacs Healthcare from Serco Group Plc where he was the Director responsible
for delivering their clinical services business. Andrew joined Serco in 2005 when
they acquired the business Andrew established in 2003, which focused on Primary
Care delivery across the UK. Prior to that Andrew held a number of senior Director
level positions focused on health delivery and technology worldwide. Andrew worked
in the NHS for almost 5 years in both Operational and Strategic management roles,
and also has a number of published papers on clinical topics.
Jayne Hanson
Managing Director Chrysalis Homecare
Jayne Hanson has 30 years experience in the recruitment industry with 12 years running
one of the leading care and healthcare providers in the private sector. Jayne was
appointed as the Vice Chair of Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), Nursing
and Social Care Division in 2004. She holds the IOD The Certificate in Company Direction.
A member of the Institute of Employment Consultants (vice chairperson social care
division 2003-5).
Debbie McDean
Managing Director New Zealand
Debbie McDean is the Managing Director of Medacs Healthcare New Zealand and has
been employed by Medacs Healthcare since mid 2004. Debbie has an extensive background in recruitment,
both in commercial and health spanning some 15 years. She has worked in the UK and
NZ markets, owned her own health recruitment business in New Zealand and worked
for several leading recruitment brands.
Ron Crause
Managing Director Australia
Ron has been with Medacs Healthcare since December 2008. Previously Ron worked for
Qantum Recruitment as Managing Director. He formed his knowledge in international
recruitment when he joined Whittaker International as a Senior Recruiter working
across Australasia and the Middle East. Thus, he has extensive local and international
recruitment experience of medical personnel having been in the industry since 1981.
Ron is a currently President of the Association of Medical Recruiters Australia
and New Zealand (AMRANZ) and is thus active in the direction and political focus
of the association. He regularly makes representations to various sectors of the
health industry including Federal and State Departments of Health, Medical Boards,
and so forth.
