Medacs Healthcare is delighted to announce that it has been chosen as the primary supplier of temporary nurses, theatre and healthcare support staff to East Cheshire NHS Trust. The ‘Master Vendor’ agreement goes live in April and will incorporate both hospital and community environments.
Whilst Master Vendor contracts may not be unusual in some areas of healthcare, this is a pioneering step within the nursing industry. Under the agreement, Medacs Healthcare will be the first in line to receive notifications of nursing vacancies across both hospital and community environments in East Cheshire. The expectation will be for Medacs Healthcare to manage these vacancies by looking to internal banks and those of a handful of pre-agreed agencies, to fill the requirements. East Cheshire will be looking to grow this contract moving forwards to include all their staffing groups and community requirements, including Style Prison.
Trish Davidson, Operations Director commented, “The whole nursing team are very excited. We feel this win benchmarks the route trusts will take in future and is the first step towards Bank Managed Services. We are fully committed to ensuring we deliver over and above their expectations to put us in the best possible position for the future.”
As a result of this exciting new development, Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced RGNs, ITUs and Theatre Nurses to work in hospitals across Macclesfield.
