Fire Procedures

Detailed local fire procedures are displayed in all areas of a Hospital and must be followed at all times. It is the duty of all staff to familiarise themselves with the local fire procedures that exist within their area of work. If you discover a fire, activate the fire alarm immediately. It will bring immediate assistance from within the hospital as well as helping to summon the Fire Brigade. If the alarm sounds then you must check with a permanent member of staff as to what action needs to be taken.
