Andrew Preston
Managing Director

Andrew joined Medacs Healthcare in December 2007 as Managing Director. He has a
vast knowledge of the world health market having worked and delivered health services
in the UK, Europe, Australia, NZ, South Africa, South America and North America.
David Holford
Director of Business Development

Joining in May 2008 David is responsible for Business Development in the Managed
Healthcare business. Prior to this, David was a Police Officer for over 18 years
in one of the UKs largest force areas. David also has extensive experience in OOH
and Primary Care services.
Stephen Lenehan
Regional Operations Director

Stephen joined the Managed Healthcare business in 2008 with extensive experience
in the provision of healthcare in custodial settings and in the wider NHS, having
held a variety of operational and strategic posts. Stephen currently has responsibility
for the contracts in the north of the UK (including Scotland and the Orkney Islands).

Katie joined the Managed Healthcare in May 2008 and is currently our Regional Operations
Director for the South of England. Katie has 9 years HR and Management experience
gained in a variety of sectors including the implementation of healthcare solution;
and contracting out of public services.
Alex Woods

Alex has over 3 years experience within the Managed Healthcare business supporting
all contracts across the UK. Prior to working for Medacs Healthcare, Alex had over
2 years management experience in the commercial sector.
Amanda Bradley

Amanda joined the Managed Healthcare business in April 2008, bringing with her vast
operational management experience gained in ‘Out of Hours’, Forensic and Call Centre
environments.
Bernie Highfield
Business Development Manager

Bernie joined the Managed Healthcare business development team in 2009 with over
9 years NHS experience in both primary and secondary care. A former practice manager
for a PMS+ large GP training practice operating over two sites, Bernie introduced
new patient-focussed services and used technology to reduce workload and streamline
operations.

Helen joined Medacs Healthcare in December 2007 with over 20 years NHS HR experience.
Over the last 2 years Helen has worked closely with the Managed Healthcare business
to ensure the effective management of employees and contract staff including the
successful transfer of staff under TUPE.

Educated to degree level, Jeni has worked for the Managed Healthcare business for
over 3 years assisting in the day-to-day support of all FME contracts.
John Harding

John is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience of managing the delivery of
healthcare services in a custodial setting. John has over 34 years Experience of
service delivery in both the private and state sector, both in the U.K and overseas.
Julie Nichols

Julie joined the Managed Healthcare business in May 2009 and supports contracts
in both Devon and Cornwall. Julie previously worked as a Manager for an Out of Hours
service in Cornwall and brings with her over 13 years of experience in health service
delivery.

Richard joined the Managed Healthcare business in September 2008 as a call center
handler. Richard is a dedicated point of contact for the various constabularies
we supply clinicians to.

Medacs Healthcare. Abbie has an exceptional record for retaining staff and exceeding

Meryl joined Medacs Healthcare in 2003 working in the Doctors recruitment business.
Meryl moved to the Managed Healthcare business in 2006 working as contract administrator
for the DCC and Avon & Somerset Contracts.
Pauline Pearsall

Pauline is a Registered General Nurse and Registered Clinical Nurse Tutor, spending
most of her career in the NHS. For the last 12 years Pauline has held the role of
Assistant Director of Nursing Services in a busy acute general NHS Trust. Pauline
is also a Governor Member of a Mental Health Foundation Trust.

Mike joined Medacs Healthcare in January 2009 as Marketing Manager for the Managed
Healthcare and Doctors business. Educated to degree level, Mike has over 3 years
marketing experience and has held management positions in the IT, Telecoms and Hire
industries.

Gemma joined the Managed Healthcare business in January 2008 as a call handler and
now works in a shift supervisor position. Gemma is responsible for ensuring the
call centre is run smoothly and efficiently and is the first point of contact for
the various constabularies we supply clinicians to.

Prior to this David had over 5 years experience as a Management Accountant and has
also worked in Advertising in the Motor Industry.

Karen joined the Managed Healthcare business in March 2008 as Personal Assistant
to the Managing Director . With over 15 years experience in the healthcare arena,
Karen also assists the Director of Bid Development and the Operations Director with
day-to-day administration.
Mark Railton

Mark joined the Managed Healthcare business in April 2008 as Contract Manager for
our NHSD West Yorkshire Urgent Care Out of Hours GP Triage contract. Mark has over
18 years operational experience in both the public and private sector with a number
of senior management positions.

Contract Manager – Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Dyfed Powys Police

Perina joined the Managed Healthcare team in November 2009 and is managing the
Police contracts for Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Dyfed Powys Police.
Perina has over 20 years HR and Management experience gained in complex
organisations in the finance and service sectors as well as 6 years within
the Police Service where she has been responsible for managing organisational
restructure and successfully implementing processes to deliver effective performance
and customer service.
Kate Jones
Contract Assistant – Greater Manchester Police

Kate has worked for Medacs Healthcare for almost 3 years, initially working as a
call handler whilst at university and then progressed to her role as Contract Assistant
for Greater Manchester Police. Kate has excellent forensic medical knowledge and is responsible
for managing the day to day delivery of the Greater Manchester Police FME contract, ensuring
all service level agreements are achieved.
Tanya Ferguson

Tanya is the Contract Manager for South Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Police and is
responsible for the delivery of their FME contracts. Tanya has over 8 years experience within
Medacs Healthcare working in various roles throughout the company. The experience she gained made
it possible for her to adapt to her role in Managed Healthcare where she manages a strong team and
has developed excellent client relationships.

Mike holds a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in Occupational Health and has over 10
years experience in Occupational Health service delivery to local, national and international
companies and manages the Medacs Healthcare Occupational Health business in Teesside.

Carol joined Medacs Healthcare in September 2009. Carol has worked as an Occupational Health
Office Manager for over 13 years at Teesside and has vast knowledge of occupational health,
overseas and offshore medicals. The Occupational Health team currently hold occupational health
support contracts with over 30 organisations across the North East of England.

Jennifer is a recruitment professional with 9 years experience in this environment,
having worked within both public and private sector organisations and has a reputation
for delivering with a strong customer service focus. Jennifer is now part of the Managed
Healthcare business working as Contract Manager for Scotland and is currently responsible
for service provision to Scottish Prison Service and Kalyx Establishments, as well as service
delivery to Northern Constabulary and Orkney Police FME contracts.

Jackie is responsible for managing the day to day delivery of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary FME contract, ensuring all service level agreements are achieved.

Prior to this Karen worked for Oldham Council for over 5 years in various operational and management roles with different client groups such as mental health, learning disabilities and the elderly.

Louis is the Medacs Homecare Management Accountant. He finished his ACCA qualification exams in June 2009 and joined Medacs Healthcare in September 2009. Backed by 6 years’ experience gained in both industry and practice fields, Louis is responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and other finance related tasks.

Lisa joined Medacs Healthcare in October 2009 as Risk and Monitoring manager for the Greater London team (generic and specialist) based in Croydon. Lisa previously worked for Blue Arrow, Celsian and a number of other companies in the health and social care market since 1995, in management for over 11 years. Lisa is currently working as the Acting Specialist Manager for Greater London and continues to give support to the risk and monitoring division of the business.
