Forensic Medical
Medacs Healthcare is the largest provider of fully managed forensic medical services
to Police Authorities across the UK. Providing a 24hour a day service, we provide
triage, telephone medical advice and medical support to custody suites, delivered
through a team of Forensic Medical Examiners (FMEs) and Custody Nurses.
Our services provide care for those people who have been detained, from the point
of arrest and throughout the detention process, and is compliant with professional,
legislative and ethical standards (such as PACE). Routine tasks carried out by our
FMEs include: examining detained individuals; assessing and treating victims, suspects
and witnesses; taking samples; providing statements; and giving evidence in court.

All our staff are security vetted, CRB checked and are screened
for relevant experience and certification.
Our industry leading call-handling software ensures each call is logged and referenced,
providing a clear audit trail for Clients and easy retrieval for fast recall of
information for criminal justice purposes. All calls are recorded for both internal
training requirements and for quality management purposes.
