CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST

Full Time Position

Are you looking for a change of scenery and ready to live a new cosmopolitan life in Spain?

We are looking for Consultant Radiologists to manage the musculoskeletal section of the Radiology department as well as a Specialist in Mammography.

Managing a team of full time and part time radiologist working remotely (currently 12), you will reporting to the Head of the Radiology Department.

Key responsibilities include;

Knowledge Management

• Being responsible for providing and updating their team with the latest developments within their field, including the distribution of congress reports.
• Ensure that every Radiologist in their team produces an abstract/communication for a congress yearly
• When a Radiologist attends a conference the section leader needs to ensure that they produce and distribute a summary from the meeting
• Everyone in their team should produce a presentation to the rest of the team once a year.

Manage and Retain Radiologists in your Team

• To contact all remote Radiologists within their team at least every 2 months
• To send out a section newsletter to all the team once a month
• To ensure that there is a meeting held every 2 weeks covering a variety of things including congress reports, administrative issues, error reports etc.
• To delegate a task outside of reporting to each full time member in the section.

Annual Appraisals

• To conduct an annual review with every member of their team.
• To help identify and approve the congresses the part time and full time members of the team will attend and ensure they are within budget.

Quality Assurance

• To ensure that the Radiologists remain under 3% discrepancy for level 3 and 4 and below 30% for levels 1 and 2. Every discrepancy should be answered by noon every day
• To ensure internal audits are performed on an agreed % of cases monthly
• Produce a report monthly to the medical team on incidences on a case by case basis
• To ensure the turn around times are at 90% of agreed level
• All requests of contact by physicians are answered the same day
• Monitor the team to ensure they are producing the required amount of Radiology units per day.
  

Remuneration

Competitive Salary + Bonus based on personal/company objectives

You would be eligible for a preferential fixed tax rate of 24% for 5 years

For national insurance they will pay a maximum of 200 euros per month (this is capped at this level irrelevant of how much you are earning once it is more than 3000 euros/month)
