Head of UK Permanent Recruitment - Simona Bertolo

Simona has been working in the field of healthcare recruitment since 2003, gaining a great understanding of the healthcare market and the needs of the NHS in the UK. Simona is a specialist in global candidates' sourcing primarily Doctors and Nurses and holds extensive knowledge of running international campaigns, understanding the needs of the NHS and private sector in the UK and delivering recruitment for both single and large volume supply. Simona is responsible for strategic market grow, people development and international talent acquisition and joined Medacs Healthcare in August 2014 to add value to the permanent division.

Team Manager of Permanent Doctors – Ryan Cornwell

Ryan has worked in recruitment for ten years, with the last eight being focused purely in locum and permanent doctors’ recruitment. Ryan has overseen circa 500 permanent placements in the last three years, leading dedicated recruitment and resourcing teams. With his knowledge of process as well as technical aspects within international recruitment, Ryan can be classed as a UK leading specialist recruitment manager.

Permanent Doctors - Agnieszka Olbrys

Agnieszka has ten years experience in international recruitment. She has recruited hundreds of doctors to both the NHS and private sector. She specialises in sourcing doctors from Indian and the Middle East and, with her language skills, also from Europe. She organises and project manages events, attends international job fairs and medical conferences and liaises with third party agencies. As the resourcing team senior, her job not only includes finding suitable candidates, but she is also responsible for mentoring and managing junior members of the resourcing team.

Permanent Doctors- Kerri Tear

Kerri comes from an educational background and joined Medacs Healthcare, initially as an International Resourcing Consultant, her role was to resource candidates, ensuring they had suitable qualifications for the positions available and helping in planning and sourcing candidates for overseas events. Kerri demonstrates excellent candidate management skills and has quickly risen through Medacs’ ranks. She now maintains and account manages a number of high profile clients.

Permanent Doctors - Sanjay Singh

Sanjay has been working with Simona Bertolo since 2009. Sanjay is based in India and brings extensive knowledge of the Asian continent as well as a large network of Doctors from India. Sanjay has assisted over a hundred doctors relocating from India to the UK.  

Permanent Doctors - Kate

Kate is a qualified Medical Doctor from Russia, specialising in Obstetric & Gynaecology. Kate brings extensive knowledge on the process of IELTS, PLAB and GMC Registration to all our candidates registering with Medacs Healthcare. 

Permanent Doctors - Claudia

Claudia has been with Medacs for nearly 6 years. Claudia has more than 12 years’ experience in healthcare recruitment and is one of the UK leading specialists. She overseas multiple hi profile clients and is adept at event planning and management within the Indian subcontinent and Middle East region, having attended 6 events in the last 18 months alone. Claudia is always abreast of process and market changes. 

Permanent Doctors - Tom Foss

Tom joined Medacs Healthcare in October 2011 as a Recruitment Consultant on the International Team recruiting Doctors for Singapore and Middle East. Thomas is a 360 recruiter and account manager. He manages the end to end recruitment process from understanding and assessing the hospital’s needs, sourcing suitable candidates, arranging interviews, negotiating offers, providing support for Doctors when starting their new posts, including relocation advice. Thomas has an excellent understanding of the market place, client’s requirements and is able to advise on the best options available. 

Team Manager of Permanent Nursing - Hadrien Kieffer

After graduating from a Marketing and Sales Master Degree in Paris, Hadrien Kieffer relocated to the UK and decided to focus his career in Permanent International Nursing Recruitment in the United Kingdom. Recruiting caring staff to look after dependant patients is a very rewarding role that he has enjoyed doing over the last 8 years. Hadrien has progressed from Resourcer into Consultant and then accessed managerial positions which has given him a full spectrum of what the market is, what our candidates do for their patients and what the NHS is exactly looking for when recruiting from abroad.

Permanent Nursing – Federico Bassi

Federico has been with Medacs as a consultant on the permanent nursing desk for one year and a half. In this time he has been involved in recruitment projects from within the European Union, in particular Italy, placing nurses to work in NHS hospitals. Federico has recruited over 100 Italian nurses in his time at Medacs and has developed an extensive knowledge of the logistics concerning recruitment from the EU. He is a native Italian which has allowed him to better interact with his nurses eliminating cultural and linguistic barriers, ensuring a smooth transition in what can be a daunting process for the nurses. 

Permanent Nursing – Afrodite Varvitsioti

Afrodite has joined Medacs Healthcare the last 7 months and she works for the European permanent nursing team. She is mainly focusing in sourcing and screening candidates from the Greek market without excluding the markets of Italy, Spain, Romania and Portugal. She has previous working experience in the recruitment field placing successfully doctors, nurses and AH professionals in Middle East. Afrodite is a holder of a Master’s degree in International Management of the University of Exeter and speaks English, Greek and little Arabic. 

Permanent Nursing – Javier Aleza

My name is Javier I am Recruitment Consultant in perm nursing team, and staff nurse as well, two years of nursing experience in England. I am from Spain, I have experience about how it works an English hospital and for that reason we know what kind of staff nurses need the English hospitals. Because for me, The experience is very important.
Natalie has 3 years experience in a resourcing capacity. With her ability to build relationships with candidates, Natalie is one of the brightest performers in the marketplace. She is able to effectively source and organise candidates to ensure that their relocation to the UK is seamless.
