If I am an overseas candidate, what do I need for immigration?

If you come from a country outside the European Union, you will need to be sponsored by an employer and then obtain an entry clearance visa. All our employers are licensed to obtain sponsorship and we offer advice and support you through the whole process.

If you are part of the European Union but you originally come from one of the Accession States, you will need to register with the Workers Registration Scheme within one month from starting your new employment in the UK. Your employer will provide you with an application form which you will need to fill in and return to the Home Office with a fee of £90. After 12 months of employment, you won’t need to register again.

I do not want to post original documents, if they get lost I can't get another copy

You should always use a signed for postal service from which ever country you live in so that you are able to track your documents. However we wouldn't ask you to send original documents on the whole - there are a couple of exceptions to that. We would normally either have seen your documents ourselves and verified them, or, we will ask you to have them notarised as originals through a notary public. Likewise we will need notarised translation for all documents requested which are not in English.
