How long will it take to process my application?

It is dependant on obtaining full, correct information from you; we aim to turn around a Theatre Nurse and Theatre Practitioner application as soon as we have received a fully completed application. In order to assist with your registration, we have experienced staff that will come and collect your documentation to speed up the process. Finding a suitable placement is dependent on obtaining a Medacs Healthcare enhanced CRB disclosure; this can take an average of two to three weeks.

I was not asked for all these documents when previously registered with Medacs Healthcare Healthcare.

PaSA (who are our external auditors and determine what documentation is needed) are now requesting that we obtain more original documentation that may have not been requested when you were previously registered.

My original qualification certificate is overseas but I have a copy with me here in UK, can I still work as a locum?

It is a PaSA requirement that we hold verified copies of all Qualification, if you are returning home in the near future please collect the certificate and bring them back with yourself, alternatively ask a family member or someone at home to post them. Alternatively, you can obtain a letter from the Nursing College/University stating the qualification that was obtained and when it was obtained.
