Professional attributes extend into how well you adapt your personal attitude and skills towards the tasks at hand.
An excellent carer will understand the importance of continuing professional development, undertaking training and courses related to service delivery.
This can require a proactive approach to career progression and further education and could see you deliver training sessions yourself once you feel you have the experience to do so.
Find new methods of learning to update your skills and never underestimate the power of self-evaluation or team evaluation sessions. This can help not only to improve professional capabilities, but also to boost communication and teamwork skills among colleagues.
Being a carer requires following the current legislative and regulatory framework and staying up to date with best practices and ongoing research. This can be especially important if you are a specialist care worker.
