Want to be free from all of the daily paperwork so that you can provide better care and do what you enjoy most?
We think we have the solution with the Birdie Care Worker App.
Launched in 2020, the Cheshire and Tameside Homecare teams piloted the exciting and innovative technology created by Birdie, to improve the way we provide care to our service users.
It’s simple! When you’re visiting your service users, you will have the right information at the right time to deliver quality care. After each visit, you will complete a report in just a few taps on the Care Worker App and share it in real-time with everyone involved in the service user’s care – care managers, other care staff… so that everyone knows what’s going on.
You’ll be able to check in and out of a visit with ease.
You’ll have access to the latest to-do list for each of your service users, available directly on your phone. As you make your way through the tasks, you’ll be able to tick tasks off at a touch of a button.
As soon as you submit a report, it will be accessible on the service user’s log for office staff and for other care workers providing care to that service user.
With the Care Worker App, you’ll be able to capture observations about the service user’s wellbeing and share them within the visit report.
Having these observations available in real-time, means there’s an opportunity to pick-up on signs of improvement or deterioration, so that the care can be personalised to the needs of each service user.
Above all, the Care Worker App is incredibly easy to use and very intuitive. Reports have been simplified, actions are transparent and icons are used to make it super clear what information should be added.

Backed by the world’s leading insurance group AXA and its start-up studio Kamet, Birdie was set up in July 2017 by Parmentier, who witnessed the decline of his grandfather’s health and wellbeing after he was put into a care home.
“Our family decided that putting him in a care home was the safest step — but he hated being there and it was hard seeing him that way. He’d have been more ‘himself’ had he been able to continue living safely in the comforts of the house he once shared with his family.”
Birdie believes it is building the most advanced algorithms to produce real time reports on personal care, infection, health risks or a decline in health, based on care providers’ information and connected devices around the home – these include activity and door sensors, fall detection wrist bands, speakerphone hubs and a panic button.
