Functional Assessor jobs

Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for some quite unique government-sector roles with excellent salaries and FIXED HOURS.

What does a Functional Assessor do?

The role of a functional assessor is to conduct face to face interviews and clinical assessments for The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments.

These roles are ideal for nurses with good clinical examination and decision-making skills who want to retain and use their care skills, but are keen to swap unsociable shifts on hospital wards for regular hours in a more comfortable office-based environment. Interpersonal skills are very important, and the ability to write good reports is essential, with bespoke report-writing training provided.

Where are roles based?

We have a number of positions, based in medical examination centres throughout the UK (for a full list of locations click 'I'm Interested' on the left)

Please note the following points:

  • Eligible applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience and the flexibility to travel between nearby assessment centres when required.
  • Training is rigorous and requires strong competencies in literacy and IT.
  • Due to high demand for these roles, applicants who do not meet the basic eligibility criteria may not be contacted. To ensure your application is given the highest priority, please attach a CV in the first instance.
