Medacs Healthcare Plc ("We") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy (together with our terms of business or terms of engagement or www.medacs.ie and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Medacs Healthcare Plc or The Impellam Group Plc (as appropriate) “the Company” of 800 The Boulevard Capability Green Luton LU1 3BA. Our nominated representative for the purpose of the act is Anna Thomas – The data compliance manager.
Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.medacs.ie. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by the Company, and when you report a problem with our site.
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.
Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
IP Addresses and Cookies
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:
To estimate our audience size and usage pattern
To track your application through our registration process and ensure we can manage your application effectively
To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests

Where we store your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. On completion of payment transactions all credit card details and notes made at the time of a transaction will be destroyed immediately.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Uses made of this information
We use information held about you in the following ways:

To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes
To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us

If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.
If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.
If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data the terms of engagement / registration form.
We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.
Disclosure of your information
We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries.
A company is a “subsidiary” of another company, its “holding company”, if that other company—
(a)holds a majority of the voting rights in it, or
(b)is a member of it and has the right to appoint or remove a majority of its board of directors, or
(c)is a member of it and controls alone, pursuant to an agreement with other members, a majority of the voting rights in it,

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
If Medacs Healthcare Plc or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
*Terms and Conditions for Free Uniform and Garda Vetting check promotion:
The organiser of this promotion (the "Promoter") is Medacs Global Group Limited of Unit 9, Adelphi House, Upper George's Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Ireland. The potential recipient of a free uniform and Garda vetting check is the "Candidate". The reference to a 'free uniform' will include the following items: either a polo shirt or a tunic of the Promoter's choosing in their sole discretion. The Candidate will qualify for a free uniform and Garda vetting check should all of the following conditions be met: The Candidate must: be aged 18 or over; have supplied all documents required for registration as listed in the document checklist (ref: MIEN15-v1) within 7 working days of the document checklist being sent to the Candidate; have a valid NMBI pin; be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland; not already be registered with the Promoter; the Candidate successfully completes their registration with the Promoter. If the Candidate submits invalid, unclear or documents which require clarification the Promoter reserves the right not to apply the promotion. Once the Promoter has carried out the necessary checks to ensure that the Candidate qualifies for the promotion, the Promoter agrees to cover the cost of one uniform and a Garda vetting check (value at the time of writing €35). By submitting a registration the Referrer is deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions. The promotion is not open to employees and past employees of the Promoter (who are not registered with the Promoter as an agency worker), nor their families. The Promoter reserves the right to change or close the Promotion at any time and without notice. These terms confer no obligation on the Promoter to offer the Candidate any minimum period of work or to register any Candidate who may not meet any required criteria of the Promoter. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any nurse who is not NMBI-registered will not be eligible under this promotion.
*Terms and Conditions for Nurse referral scheme:
The organiser of this promotion (the "Promoter") is Medacs Global Group Limited of Unit 9, Adelphi House, Upper George's Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Ireland. The agency worker who may be entitled to a €25 payment is the "Referrer". The Referrer will qualify for a payment of €25 (subject to tax and National Insurance Contributions) should all of the following conditions be met: The Referrer must: be registered with the Promoter as an agency worker and have up to date registration records; be aged 18 or over; be resident in the Republic of Ireland; be a valid NMBI-registered nurse, has recommended a valid (as defined below) NMBI-registered nurse who subsequently registers with the Promoter ("Candidate"). A Candidate will be valid for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions if the Candidate satisfies all of the following criteria: the Candidate successfully completes their registration with the Promoter; the Candidate has a valid NMBI number; is eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland; is not already registered with the Promoter; completes 10 hours of paid work as a nurse via the Promoter within a six week continuous period from the date the Promoter registers the Candidate. Once the Promoter has carried out the necessary checks to ensure that the Referrer qualifies for the promotion, the Promoter will pay €25 into the bank account the Promoter has on file with the Referrer. The Referrer may recommend more than one individual and each valid recommendation will allow them to become eligible for more than one payment, subject to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are deemed to be accepted by the Referrer. The promotion is not open to employees and past employees of the Promoter (who are not registered with the Promoter as agency workers), nor their families. The Promoter reserves the right to change or close the Promotion at any time and without notice or any liability. These terms confer no obligation on the Promoter to offer the Candidate any minimum period of work or to register any Candidate who may not meet any required criteria of the Promoter. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any Candidate referred who is not NMBI-registered will not be eligible under his promotion.
