Ysbyty Glan Clwyd are looking for an experienced Consultant in Vascular Surgery with endovascular skills who will contribute to the further development and delivery of evidence-based vascular and endovascular services across the Trust, who will help to develop a vascular service capable of surviving the pressures of the NHS.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

As a Consultant in Vascular Surgery with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board you will:

• Maintain the highest clinical standards in the care of patients with Vascular problems.
• Provide out-patient and in-patient care for patients with Vascular problems.
• Share with colleagues the provision of Vascular advice to medical and surgical inpatients.
• Work with colleagues, both medical and nursing to improve and advance the service.
• Share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the Department.
• Share with colleagues the responsibility for teaching and training of trainees, junior medical staff, nursing staff, primary care colleagues and medical students.
• Participate actively in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance work to ensure continual improvements in the quality and safety of care.
• Participate in the recruitment of patients to clinical trials.
• Maintain and further personal learning through generic Trust training and Specialty Specific training (CPD).

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications

Essential

• FRCS or equivalent qualification.
• Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Up to date and fit to practise safely.
