RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Adult Safeguarding Practitioners
JOB SUMMARY:
The Named Adult lead will be responsible for ensuring that effective and
efficient structures, systems and processes are in place to promote a high
standard of evidenced based practice in the field of safeguarding. Ensuring
a think family approach is embedded within practice and specifically
ensuring CWP safeguarding adult practice within CWP is compliant with
current legislation and guidance.
Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff of CWP consistent
with legislation, guidance and procedures. Ensure that there are robust
internal safeguarding policies, which take into account legislation,
guidance and procedures.
Provide professional leadership to all CWP services on all aspects of
safeguarding adults and associated safeguarding agendas for example,
domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, Prevent, modern slavery and
human trafficking. Ensuring the principles of person centred care and
'think family' are modelled and promoted.
Assist in providing strategic direction on all aspects of safeguarding adults
Ensure CWP have a comprehensive safeguarding training plan and deliver
and develop training resources as required.
To line manage and supervise the safeguarding adult team.
