JOB SUMMARY:
Specialist Therapy and consultation delivery within the community mental health team

LIAISES WITH:
Other CWP clinical teams across both primary and secondary care services; service users and carers; GPs Section 3

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical

• To provide a specialist psychological therapy service to clients with complex mental health problems which are often diagnosed as Personality Disorder.
• To provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, risk management and interventions for individuals and groups as well as providing consultation and advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.
• To supervise trainees and qualified practitioners as agreed.
• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
• To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development, and research for the area served by the service.
