Medacs Healthcare is looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine to join a busy NHS Hospital based in London.
Salary scale: £39,698 to £52,090 plus 40-50% banding
Hours: Full Time, up to 48 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months (with a possibility of extension)
We are looking for doctors who have experience and interest in either Paediatrics and/or Emergency Medicine, and who want to consolidate their skills, confidence and knowledge of the assessment and management of sick and injured children whilst learning how to manage a busy department.
Applicants should have at least 3 years post-foundation in either paediatrics or emergency medicine, and be at ST4+ level. It will be part of a 6 person senior rota consisting of paediatric and emergency medicine registrars.
The post will be part of a full-shift rota, covering the Children's Emergency Department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Applicants should hold advanced resuscitation certification (e.g. APLS).
The department has a wealth of experience and opportunities, and is part of the RCPCH PEM training program. Although this clinical fellow post is not a designated training post, the successful candidate will have access to the same educational opportunities as doctors in training posts, with an educational supervisor.
This post will be 80% clinical, with 20% of the time allocated for associated projects.
