Anaesthesia and Critical Care Fellowships (ST3/CT3 equivalent)
Medacs Healthcare is looking for an Anaesthesia and Critical Care Fellowships (ST3/CT3 equivalent) to join a busy NHS Hospital based in southeast England (close to London).
Salary scale: £39,698 to £52,090 plus 50% banding
Hours: Full Time, up to 48 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months (with a possibility of extension)
This post is aimed to provide anaesthesia trainees the necessary experience and learning outcomes required for Stage 1 of the 2021 Anaesthetics Curriculum in order to be eligible for recruitment to higher Speciality Training in Anaesthesia at the ST4 (Stage2) entry point. This post is suitable for Anaesthesia Trainees who have completed a recognised 2 year training post in the UK and have passed the Primary FRCA
MCQ examination.
Successful applicants will undertake a personalised period of training and will gain
experience and achieve learning outcomes outlined in the CT3 equivalent training guidance
(RCOA, March 2021).
The post holder will be treated exactly as if in a training post and join our current trainees for in house and regional teaching.
The successful candidate will be able to gain experience in the following
areas:
- Perioperative Medicine
- Education and Simulation
- General Anaesthesia
- Regional Anaesthesia
- Resuscitation and Transfer
- Pain
- Intensive Care Medicine
Duties include provision of anaesthetic services for all specialties at Trust site as well as out of hours cover for theatre, Obstetrics and ICU at a middle grade tier level. The duties include doing a full shift 1:8 on call rota covering any of the 4 tiers on the on-call rota. The rota is fully compliant with national medical workforce guidance and the banding is 1A.
Requirements:
- GMC registration
- Basic Live Support
- 24 months in foundation programme post by the date of commencement of post
- Minimum experience in anaesthesia as core trainee in anaesthetics or equivalent
