Consultant Haematologist

Medacs Healthcare is looking for a Consultant in Haematology to join a large NHS Hospital based in the Greater Manchester area.

Salary scale: £84,559 to £114,003 per annum depending on experience - 10 PA's

Hours: Full Time, 10 Programmed Activities

Contract type: Permanent

This new post is a collaborative venture between the two Trusts to support the development of

haematology services across the southern sector of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer

Network (GMCCN) and the delivery of clinical and laboratory haematology at one of the sites.

The major roles of this post will be

• To develop and implement best practice in Haematology
• To support the existing staff at the Trust in delivery of a high-quality service
• To be a core member of the GMCCN Southern Sector Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).

Requirements:

• FRCP / MRCP or equivalent and FRCPath or equivalent
• Full and Specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
• Clinical experience and knowledge in: General Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Coagulation, Malignant Haematology
