Consultant Physician in General Medicine

Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Locum position based in North West England.

Salary scale: £88,364 to £119,133 per annum depending on experience - 10 PA's

Hours: Full Time, 10 Programmed Activities (plus Recruitment Premia of 10%)

Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months (Locum Consultant)

Duties of the Post The primary responsibility of the post will be the ongoing medical care of patients admitted to the ward which is a 27 bedded general medical unit caring for a mix of patients with medical conditions requiring inpatient treatment.

Additionally, the postholder will support the Ambulatory Care Service and undertake outpatient clinic work depending on specialty interest. There is also a requirement to undertake on call for the unselected medical take on a one in eight rotation.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop a special interest to complement those of our other departments.

Relocation assistance of up to £8,000 may be available for successful applicants moving to the region.

Requirements:

• Fully registration with the General Medical Council
• MRCP or equivalent.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in General Medicine via: CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview)

• High level of clinical experience and competence in General/Internal Medicine
