Specialist in Stroke Medicine

Medacs Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Specialist Grade Doctor in Stroke Medicine post based in a university NHS hospital based in Midlands.

Pay: Consultant Tier MC70 - £79,894 to £90,677 + on call supplement dependant on frequency and intensity

Type of contract: fixed term for 12 months

Hours: 10 PA's with a minimum of 1 SPA

Study: 30 days study leave over 3 years with expenses

You will be joining a dedicated, diverse and dynamic team of professionals providing outstanding stroke care and internationally recognised Stroke research.

The Trust is committed to further development of the service to maintain its long standing position in the forefront of stroke care provision. This appointment will play a key part in further developments of the stroke pathway, providing input to hyper acute stroke, acute stroke, intensive rehab and continuing stroke rehabilitation.

The post has 1 core SPA but with an additional 0.5 PA provided for the first 12 months to support induction and orientation. Additional SPA to support the pursuit of particular interests or specialty need e.g. educational / clinical supervision of junior doctors or CESR, may be negotiated with individual, suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Requirements:

• GMC registered with a license to practice
• Experience: 12 years postgraduate experience of which a minimum of 6 must be in Stroke Medicine
• ALS course
