Your clinical knowledge and experience will help you to support seriously ill babies and their families throughout what can be a stressful and uncertain time. You will be carrying out essential tasks such as monitoring and ensuring the wellbeing of a baby's condition and managing a baby's fluid levels.
Your calm, reassuring nature and empathy will help ensure patients and parents feel safe in your hands.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
As a Band 5 Neonatal Nurse with Homerton University Hospital, you will:
- Monitor and ensure the wellbeing of a baby's condition
- Managing a baby's fluid levels
- Preparing and checking medication
- Recording observation and documenting a baby's condition
- Carrying out basic resuscitation in emergency cases
- Acting as an empathetic point of contact for parents.
- Responsible for adhering to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
- Be a registered nurse.
- At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
- 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
- You will need to pass an enhanced background check.
