Role: General Nurse

Rates: £22-£34 an hour

Shifts: Flexible hours, with shifts available throughout the day, night and at weekends.

In this rewarding position you will work with patients of all ages on a wide range of everyday healthcare needs. These can include administering medication, managing common diseases (i.e., colds, flu), monitoring blood pressure, delivering vaccinations, treating allergies, taking bloods, or carrying out other routine tests and health checks. You could also be treating non-emergency injuries - cuts, abrasions, minor burns, sprains, and fractures. Or you may be helping people to manage long term health conditions through delivering minor medical procedures, offering advice and sometimes emotional support too.

Patient focus

For most nursing professionals in a primary care role, one of the greatest highlights is the variety of people you will encounter. From new-born babies and children, through to adolescents, adults, and the elderly - people of all ages and from all backgrounds will require your assistance at some time. You will forge close relationships with certain patients who need to visit your practice regularly for the treatment of long standing or recurring conditions.

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications

Essential

• Be a registered nurse.
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
• You will need to pass an enhanced background check.
