Over the last 25 years, we have developed an unrivalled candidate pool and network of suppliers across all staffing groups, consistently filling high volumes of jobs across the UK.

Our control of pay and charge rates have generated substantial savings for our clients with our managed service clients paying on average £11 per hour less than our non-managed service clients. We use management information to monitor average pay rates and escalation points, which we share with our customers to make informed decisions. As one of the largest specialist staffing providers, we are able to secure candidates at competitive rates and each of our suppliers has committed to pay rates in line with NHSI guidance.

How necessary is your agency spend? We find that many of our clients have high levels of unnecessary agency spend that we are able to identify immediately. By working in partnership with you to develop authorisation and approval protocols, we can identify and remove inappropriate demand to see an immediate reduction in direct and retrospective bookings.

Permanent recruitment is at the core of driving down agency spend, our model works in tandem with our demand management process. We identify trends in temporary staff usage and long-term locum bookings to proactively recruit permanent candidates from our extensive global recruitment network. Recruiting for ‘hard to fill’ permanent vacancies and the more generalist roles will generate substantial savings for you, as well as supporting continuity of care for your patients.

Medacs Healthcare can take on board and manage the compliance for all locums working at your Trust. We carry out stringent vetting procedures in line with NHS Employers and Framework Standards. Some of our major successes in this field have included stopping substantive staff doing extra work at their trusts through agencies.
