With Emergency Medicine Doctors in short supply in the UK, Medacs Healthcare’s international recruitment team is travelling to India this month to attend a prestigious medical conference in Chennai.
Accompanied by a delegate from an NHS Trust, the team will be showcasing their current UK opportunities to Indian doctors at GAMET (Global Annual Meet on Emergency Medicine and Trauma) which takes place in Chennai’s Global Health Village from 24-27 April 2014.
Deirdre Phillips, International Recruitment Manager at Medacs Healthcare says, “India is a perfect source of doctors as they have the volumes required and, more importantly, the calibre of candidates. Working in the NHS is also a highly attractive prospect for career development, with the majority of doctors gaining much better positions upon their return to India.”
The newly recruited doctors will take a lead in the provision of effective and timely patient focussed care, proactively assisting and guiding junior doctors within the team as well as liaising with and supporting nursing staff within the department.
Benefits for doctors include fantastic salary packages, relocation support, training and career development opportunities, sponsorship for tier 2 visas and the hospitals are within close proximity to London.
