We are delighted to be championing the Cavell Nurses’ Trust’s #10kForNurses challenge.
Taking place throughout October 2019, #10kForNurses is a fantastic fundraising incentive in which inspirational fundraisers across the UK take on their own personal 10k challenges. Each 10k event raises life-changing funds to support nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants currently experiencing a personal crisis.
The event, which promises to be the charity’s biggest to date, will see selfless individuals complete challenges such as walking, running, hiking or cycling 10km, sky-diving from 10,000 ft., hosting 10,000 calorie bake sales or achieving something amazing in 10,000 seconds.
The challenge will even see a number of intrepid nursing professionals scale the heights of Wales’ highest mountain, Mount Snowdon. Naturally, as campaign champions, we will be sending our own team of fearless adventurers along to support the nurses on every step of their incredible journey. We will also be aiming to raise much-needed funds to help support nurses in need in the process.
Keen to show her support, Trish Davidson, Medacs Healthcare’s Operations Director of Specialist Staffing, commented: “Here at Medacs Healthcare, we are thrilled to be championing this year’s #10kForNurses challenge and raising life-changing funds for Cavell Nurses’ Trust.”
Trish, who will be part of the Medacs Healthcare team who will be climbing Mount Snowdon, continued: “As one of the country’s leading nursing agency, we care passionately about nurses. Championing #10kForNurses provides us with the opportunity to give something back to all those nurses in need.”
Cavell Nurses' Trust has been supporting UK nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants, both working and retired, for over a century. The charity helps nursing professionals through hardships in life and provides much-needed funds to aid with personal or financial difficulties due to illness, disability, older age and domestic abuse. From simple, essential support like money to repair a broken cooker or boiler, to vital life-changing aid like helping a family flee home due to domestic abuse.
