Cavell Nurses' Trust is a UK charity supporting nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants suffering personal or financial hardship, often due to illness, disability, older age and domestic abuse. Comprehensive support is available to both working and retired nurses.
From simple, essential support such as money to repair a broken cooker or boiler, to vital life-changing aid like helping a family flee home due to domestic abuse, Cavell Nurses' Trust is here to help. This year, thousands of nursing professionals will turn to Cavell Nurses' Trust for aid.
As one of the country's leading nursing agencies, we are proud to be working with Cavell Nurses' Trust to support nursing professionals across the UK, especially during these challenging times.
In working with Cavell Nurses' Trust, we have formed a partnership that allows us to offer help and support to our highly valued nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants during times of personal or financial crisis.
Our journey with Cavell Nurses' Trust began in 2019 and has flourished ever since.
In October 2019, as part of our support for Cavell Nurses' Trust, Medacs Healthcare staff took part in the charity's #10KForNurses challenge, a month-long event which encouraged participants to complete a variety of 10k challenges, from bake sales to climbing Mount Snowdon. The challenge raised over £30,000 to help UK nursing professionals in both personal and financial hardship.
We continue to support Cavell Nurses' Trust to this day, ensuring our nursing professionals always have the support they need.
If you are struggling to cope with personal or financial hardship and are not sure where to turn, Cavell Nurses' Trust is on hand to help.
*Please note, due to government guidance, Cavell Nurses' Trust cannot take any calls at this time. Visit the Help and Advice page for more information.*
Cavell Nurses' Trust regularly celebrates the brilliance of UK nurses. Cavell Star Awards, an inspiring national awards programme, recognises nursing professionals who shine bright and show exceptional care to either their colleagues, patients or patients' families.
If you know a nurse, midwife or healthcare professional who you believe deserves special recognition, why not nominate them for a Cavell Star Award?
