Our compliance checks include rigorous and extensive health assessments, professional registration (GMC, NMC, GSCC etc), Criminal Records Bureau, Right to Work and reference checks.
Our strict recruitment procedure is driven by our commitment to only register those of the highest calibre. Our specialist compliance teams make registration as efficient and as rigorous as possible, as we guide applicants through the process. All candidates go through a face-to-face interview and document check, and are supported by our own internal occupational health department.
Whilst we provide candidates with all the support and guidance we can, it is a sign of our stringent standards that less than half of applicants go on to our database.
Our in-house governance team, which includes our Compliance Manager and Director of Nursing, reports directly to the management board and is completely independent of operations.
Our internal auditors regularly audit each business area against agreed compliance levels in contracts and service level agreements, as well as to the standards of national authorities such as CQC and NHS Employers, Agency Regulations, Kings Fund and CNST.
Issues are monitored and reported to our board monthly. Any trends are identified and corrective strategies developed and rolled out across the organisation.
