Join our team

Within the Doctors division, our teams place locum/temporary and permanent doctors across the UK and Ireland within roles required by our clients. We are the largest provider of on-framework locum doctors to the NHS, and the only organisation to have achieved successes on every national framework. High-quality compliance standards are assured and supported with independent Clinical Governance and Revalidation teams.

We also have a team within the Doctors division focused on international recruitment of permanent doctors, who assist international doctors with relocating to the UK.

Typical roles within this division

There are various types of job opportunities within our Doctors division that include:

Placement Officers

As a Placement Officer you will manage and develop a bank of doctors and place them with clients into locum roles. By maintaining regular contact with all assigned doctors, you will build lasting relationships and keep them informed of all new work opportunities.

Client Officers

As a Client Officer you will build relationships with our existing client base, liaising with hospitals and trusts on doctor recruitment requirements. All job requirements will be added onto our systems by you, and you will monitor vacancy fill rates.

Operations Business Partners

As an Operations Business Partner you will provide support and advice to Client Officers to ensure all targets and KPIs are met. You will also be accountable for operational, strategic and analytical support, and oversee implementation of any operational changes.

Fill Rate Managers

As a Fill Rate Manager you will drive the achievement of agreed vacancy fill rates and champion the collaboration between our Managed Services and Specialist Staffing teams to exceed stakeholder expectations and maximise client retention.

Recruitment Consultants

As a Recruitment Consultant you will manage and develop a bank of doctors and place them with clients, taking on a 360 approach. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) headhunting, attracting candidates and end-to-end recruitment processing.

Resourcers

As a Resourcer you will ensure that there is a constant supply of candidates who meet the minimum criteria and needs of our clients so that vacancies can be filled within required timeframes. Working with the Recruitment Team, you will assist with all recruitment campaigns.

Onboarding Specialists

You will obtain required documentation and provide updates on compliancy status.

Business Development Managers

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the operational plan for the division, ensuring an efficient and profitable business in line with the Medacs Global Group (MGG) strategy. You will lead and manage teams to ensure highest levels of productivity and placements.

Working in our doctors division

When joining the Doctors division, you will experience a friendly, welcoming culture and it will feel like you’re joining a family. Many of our staff within the Doctors division have been with us for around 20 years, who are quite knowledgeable in the Healthcare sector and are always looking to share their expertise with the rest of the team.

Our teams within the Doctors division are mainly based in Skipton, Manchester, Glasgow, London and Dublin, however there’s also a UK team that operates out of India.

How we work

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all teams have moved to a hybrid working model where everyone mostly works from home, but will occasionally visit the office to build in-person team camaraderie. Teams based in the UK would also virtually collaborate with our MGG teams in Australia and New Zealand for referrals of doctors wanting to relocate to the UK.

Core hours within this Division are 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, however there’s also part-time work opportunities within the Out of Hours team who will work between 5:30pm – 11pm. Some teams require some flexibility in their hours and would adjust their core hours, especially those focused on international recruitment where they’re liaising with doctors in different time zones.

What our work environment is like

This division works within a fast-paced environment, as there’s generally a huge demand for doctors across the UK and Ireland, and most often there’s a shortage of available doctors. Our teams work hard to fill thousands of shift hours a day prioritising urgent bookings.

Because the Healthcare sector is quite a competitive market, negotiation, relationship building and communication skills are key when working with clients and candidates – especially when working with international doctors from different cultures and backgrounds. All team members are encouraged to keep up with any changes in the sector to always provide knowledgeable guidance to our stakeholders.

Career advancement opportunities

Throughout MGG we are passionate about our peoples’ careers. Whether you are looking to progress or do the best in your current role, we will offer the support and development required to get you where you want to be by providing you with an outline and required competencies you need.
