Supporting the UK Department for Work and Pensions since 2013.
Medacs Healthcare delivers services in partnership with Maximus, on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions. For over 12 years, our experienced operational leads have closely collaborated with government partners on volume health assessment contracts.
Our current geographical footprint extends across Yorkshire and the North East, where our teams fulfill high volumes of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments, evidenced with high claimant satisfaction scores that consistently exceed national averages.
We strive to foster a positive and highly supportive environment in all our assessment centres, and a connected culture to ensure remote working members feel part of our teams.
Our team comprises professionals from diverse clinical backgrounds, including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and paramedics. We also employ specialised assessors with specific training and credentials in disability assessments and occupational health.
We are committed to ongoing professional development. All our clinical and operational teams take part in regular training sessions and workshops to stay updated on legislative changes and new assessment techniques, enhancing the quality and accuracy of evaluations.
We provide bespoke coaching sessions that support our assessors to strengthen their communication and empathetic engagement skills. This training is crucial for creating a supportive environment during assessments, helping individuals feel comfortable and understood.
Medacs has established robust quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate the performance of our assessors, ensuring that all assessments meet our high standards of quality and integrity.
Medacs is a Disability Confident Committed employer. Our pledge is to promote inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring equal access to opportunities. We continually take steps to improve how we recruit, retain and support an inclusive mix of people, and safeguard mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
