RPO has certainly played a part in the Trust coming out of financial spend measures by helping us to reduce our medical locum spend.

Our Medacs onsite team fully engage with our Senior Leadership team offering market and localised knowledge so we can plan for the future. The support offered to our individual service areas has allowed for better planning, which has meant we spend only when we need to on agency and through strategic analysis they have been able to support us with permanent recruitment options in order to help with continuity of care and financial budget management. Our relationship is built on honesty, transparency and trust and this has served us well to form a partnership approach rather than being solely transactional. Medacs have provided a high quality, consistent nursing workforce and the contract has allowed us to reduce our reliance on last minute shift demand therefore improving levels of patient care and stability on our wards. Medacs were able to increase their candidate pipeline from zero to fill 100% of the guaranteed volume demand over a 6 month period through targeted recruitment and facilitated increased training levels for staff. I have found Medacs to be responsive and creative in supporting our ongoing staffing needs and feedback from ward managers has been very positive.
