Role: Locum Consultant Vascular Surgeon
Rates: £100-£110 per hour dependant on experience. Inside IR35 only
Shifts: Start 1st July for 3 months initially, likely to extend. Mon to Fri 40hrs or Tues to Fri for 40hrs, no out of hours work.

This NHS trust is looking for an experienced Consultant in Vascular Surgery with endovascular skills who will contribute to the further development and delivery of evidence-based vascular and endovascular services across the Trust, who will help to develop a vascular service capable of surviving the pressures of the NHS.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
As a Consultant in Vascular Surgery with this NHS trust you will:
- Maintain the highest clinical standards in the care of patients with Vascular problems.
- Provide out-patient and in-patient care for patients with Vascular problems.
- Share with colleagues the provision of Vascular advice to medical and surgical inpatients.
- Work with colleagues, both medical and nursing to improve and advance the service.
- Share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the Department.
- Share with colleagues the responsibility for teaching and training of trainees, junior medical staff, nursing staff, primary care colleagues and medical students.
- Participate actively in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance work to ensure continual improvements in the quality and safety of care.
- Participate in the recruitment of patients to clinical trials.
- Maintain and further personal learning through generic Trust training and Specialty Specific training (CPD).
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
- FRCS or equivalent qualification.
- Be a GMC registered Doctor (you do NOT need to be on the Specialist Register).
- Have relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
- Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately locum jobs aren't able to offer visa sponsorship).
- You will need to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
