Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (Adult)
Location: Willesden Centre for health and Care, Robson Avenue, NW10 3RY
Band: Band 6/7
Salary: £20 - £25 per hour
About You:
Are you a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding locum role in adult community services?
We are seeking passionate and autonomous SLTs to join our client's team in Brent, delivering specialist care to adults with complex communication and swallowing needs-many of whom have English as an additional language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy across domiciliary, outpatient, and community settings.
- Assess and manage complex communication and dysphagia cases, with access to VFS/FEES as required.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement tailored therapy programmes.
- Provide SLT cover to rehabilitation wards at Willesden Centre.
- Build strong relationships with referrers, patients, carers, and professionals across health, social care, and voluntary sectors.
- Deliver specialist training to professionals across various settings.
- Supervise junior SLTs and students, and contribute to staff development within the Brent SLT team.
- Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
- Maintain professional standards and actively participate in CPD.
Essential Qualifications:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist with:
- BSc or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience.
- 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Dysphagia competent
- Experience in managing neurological conditions
- Experience working in the community
- Car driver - preferable but not necessary
