About the Role

As a locum Consultant in General Surgery, you'll provide expert care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

10/11 PA job plan which will include outpatient clinics, endoscopy (if JAG accredited) and operating all dependent on experience.

There will be no on call

The role requires a qualified Consultant - preferably one that is JAG accredited for endoscopy.
The consultant will be supporting in Colorectal clinics, general surgery and benign colorectal theatre lists and endoscopy. They will be covering a Colorectal consultant so experience in this specialism is required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting junior doctors and clinical staff
• Contributing to service development and audits

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• CCT in General Surgery (or within 6 months of achieving it)
