About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Oncology, you'll provide expert care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

10 PAs 40 Hours Mon - Fri + on calls 1:7

Elective activity - outpatient oncology clinics

MDT attendance for relevant tumour sites

Chemotherapy prescribing

Acute cover - on call

Support the middle grade staff on Magnolia Unit and Ward 31

Acute Oncology support

Tumour sites to be discussed with a preference for experience in either Colorectal, Gynaecology or Breast

Responsibilities

• Supporting junior doctors and clinical staff
• Contributing to service development and audits

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• CCT in Oncology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
