About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Ophthalmology, you'll deliver high-quality care during scheduled weekend or evening sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering specialist clinical services in line with NHS standards
  • Supporting patient flow and reducing waiting lists
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Essential:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. FRCS, FRCOphth, FRCA)
  • A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check the registration process
  • UK Right to Work
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

  • CCT in Ophthalmology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
