Location: Middlesbrough,
Rate: £95.00 - £110.00 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Type: Locum (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with 30-minute unpaid break, 37.5 hours)
Start Date: Initial 3-month contract from as soon as possible

Role Overview

As a Locum Consultant in Forensic Psychiatrist, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to adults with complex mental health needs. Responsibilities include:

• Forensic psychiatry inpatients/community/prison
• Cover for 6 in patient low secure female LD beds and FOLS team. Prison sessions also available depending on experience.
• Experience in general adult/learning disability/forensic psychiatry

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Section 12 and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility)
• Current DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• Flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

Desirable:

• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
• Female LD/forensic experience
