About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the South West Wales Cancer Centre, a highly specialised regional service with advanced radiotherapy, SACT, clinical trials, and strong academic links with Swansea University.

You will join a friendly, forward‑thinking team delivering high‑quality care for lung cancer and sarcoma patients across South West Wales.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering SACT for lung cancer and sarcoma patients

• Participating in lung and sarcoma MDTs (Monday & Wednesday mornings)
• Managing approximately 200 new lung cancer patients and 25 new sarcoma patients per year
• Providing cross‑cover for lung oncology colleagues
• Supporting junior doctors, CNS teams, pharmacists, and SPRs
• Contributing to service development, governance, and audits
• Participating in the 1:22 non‑resident on‑call rota
• Engaging in teaching, training, and research activities

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• CCT in Oncology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
