Rate: £100 - £115 + negotiable + dependant on experience

PART TIME Mon,Tue, Thurs,Fri
To provide Consultant Psychiatrist input in Community LD team
To assess, diagnose and manage patients with mental illness, autism and challenging behaviour.
Ensuring effective holistic multidisciplinary assessment and care planning with service users, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
Planning of all treatment needs including prescription of medication
Close liaison with partners in other health, social care ,primary and third sector organisations to ensure that patient's needs are met
To provide cover for other Colleagues non-working days and emergency cover
Management of risk and weighing complex risk information to deliver care that is in the best interests of the recovery of the individual. Supporting the MDT in this by clear communication, containing anxiety, and maintain hope for the patient.

What We're Looking For
Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

• CCT in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry
