Speciality Doctor to work in General Adult Psychiatry based at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham from asap until around 7th August. Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 with no oncall responsibility (will look to consider part time also)

* Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and management for prisoners of all ages based at HMP Berwyn working closely with the Consultant, another Specialty Doctor onsite and the wider MDT.
* Liaise with other hospitals in case of the need of admission.
* Accessible for advice from colleagues in Adult Psychiatry, Forensic and Older People Mental Health.
* Carry out risk assessments for prisoners and complete the appropriate reports
* Expected to be familiar with the Welsh Mental Health Measure and Welsh Mental Health Act.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Relevant postgraduate training or experience in the specialty
• A current DBS - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• Specialty training at ST3+ level or equivalent
