Job Title: Locum Consultant General Pathologist
Location: West Midlands, UK
Rate: £100-£120ph dependant on experience. PAYE only.
Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)
Start Date: ASAP until 11th July covering sickness and upcoming leave - potential to be longer.

Details: Mon-Fri 9-5. Full or part time considered. Job plan will consist of mainly reporting but also some MDT cover, which MDTs this will be will be dependant on their experience.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Histopathology, you'll provide expert diagnostic services and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pathology care.

Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology
• Managing laboratory services and ensuring quality control
• Supporting junior doctors and laboratory staff
• Contributing to service development and audits

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• FRCPath or equivalent
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• CCT in Histopathology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
