Job Title: Aseptic Pharmacy Technician

Location: Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Wrexham LL13 7TD

Band: Band 5/6

Contract Type: Locum

Salary: £23 - £29 per hour

About you:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our clients existing team within the Pharmacy Production Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

You will be required to have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician, and hold previous experience of working within a Production Unit, including aseptic manipulation and preparation.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Aseptic manipulation and preparation of a range of products to meet our service demands, including Chemotherapy, Parental Nutrition, CIVAS, extemporaneous doses and Radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Supervision and coordination of junior support staff and technicians.
  • Completing sessions of pre-process checking, where attention to detail and accuracy skills are paramount.
  • Deputising where applicable for the Senior Pharmacy Technician.
