Prepare for your first day as a Clinical Assessor with Medacs Healthcare.

As a Clinical Assessor with Medacs Healthcare, you will need Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) security clearance. This process can take up to three weeks, so we have compiled a list of essential documents to help you prepare in advance.
If you have already received an offer to join our team, you’ll need to return all required documents within seven working days. Being prepared will help ensure a smooth start to your new role as a Clinical Assessor.

When you have received your offer to join our team of clinical assessors you will receive your Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) Vetting Form.
This will be sent as a link within the Compliance guide.
It is important that all sections of this document are completed carefully and accurately.
This document must be hand signed however we can send you a printed copy if needed.
Top Tip: Remember to include a personal reference (someone you have known at least 3 years and cannot be a manager, relative, or housemate).
Our Clinical Assessors are made up of registered nurses, and registered occupational therapists, paramedics and physiotherapists.
All of our assessors must registered with their own professional body.
If you are a Nurse, you must be registered and have an active pin (without restrictions) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
If you are an Allied Health Professional, you must be registered and have an active pin (without restrictions) with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
As a Clinical Assessor for Medacs Healthcare you will need an enhanced DBS certificate.
If you are not on the update service, you will be sent a link to complete your enhanced DBS application.
Top Tip: You’ll need to prove your identity and provide addresses for the last 5 years (including the dates you lived at each address), so make sure you have this information handy when applying.
Our team of Clinical Assessors is made up of office, hybrid and remote workers.
All documents will be verified face to face where possible however if you are a remote worker, you will be able to complete your ID verification remotely. You will receive a Trust ID link to upload your passport photo.
We will then arrange a video call with you via Teams to verify your documents.
Please note: If you have an overseas passport, we’ll need to verify your ID in person. Please have your Right to Work share code ready.
As part of our vetting process it is vital that our Clinical Assessors provide us with up to date and valid ID documents.

Two proofs of address
Proof of your National Insurance number

As part of our registration and vetting process, you must provide us with references covering your past three years of employment (including University). References are requested via Experian, and you will receive a direct link where you can provide your employer information. Please note that this must be completed within 48 hours. You will also be asked to complete a consent form, which allows us to chase your references where necessary.
Top Tip: References can often take a little while to come through, so speak to your referees in advance to let them know this is a requirement of your new role and that a reference request will be sent to them.
If there is a delay with your references – don’t panic. You can download your employment history from HMRC as a PDF and email it to our team.
If you cannot see the email from Experian, check your junk or spam folders.

Our clearance process is set by the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP), and all documents for the role will be processed by an external vetting team.
