Medacs Awarded Major New Health Assessment Contract

Medacs is proud to be playing an integral part in delivering a new Functional Assessment Services contract on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions.

This contract will involve the delivery of more than 3.5 million health and disability assessments nationally over a period of 5 years.

Following several years of successfully supporting the previous Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS), Medacs is now expanding service in our existing focus region (North England), supporting Maximus, the regional prime provider of the new service.

New job opportunities in the North of England

As a result, we have flexible (hybrid) work opportunities for the following healthcare professionals as Clinical Assessors, right across the North of England:

· Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD)

· Occupational Therapists

· Physiotherapists

· Paramedics

What do Clinical Assessors do? The role of a Clinical or Disability Assessor involves carrying out disability assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions. It is best suited to those with previous experience of assessing and/or report writing although full training will be provided. It’s also vital that you have strong interpersonal skills, and;

· The ability to work autonomously

· Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office

· Good organisational skills

· Empathy and a good way with people

· An eye for detail

· Great observational skills

· Experience of working in different clinical settings with exposure to a wide range of conditions
