About you:

Are you an APT looking for some locum shifts? Our client in Chelsea is searching for a locum to support with providing a respectful, caring and efficient service to the Trust dealing with a sensitive aspect of cancer care. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring deceased patients are correctly identified and that bodies are treated with dignity and respect including cultural and religious considerations. The post holder will ensure that the deceased bodies are well cared for prior to occasional viewing by families and hand over to funeral directors including being responsible for documentation relating to funeral directors, coroner's staff, medical professionals and the external supplier of post mortem services.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for ensuring deceased patients are correctly identified and that bodies are treated with dignity and respect including cultural and religious considerations.
• You will ensure that the deceased bodies are well cared for prior to occasional viewing by families and hand over to funeral directors including being responsible for documentation relating to funeral directors, coroner's staff, medical professionals and the external supplier of post mortem services.

Essential Qualifications:

We are looking for an Anatomical Pathology Technician with:

• Experience of working within a relevant routine laboratory
• Able to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Full UK right to work
