We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join the team at the South West Wales Cancer Centre on a short-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a specialist service providing high-quality, patient-centred palliative care within a leading cancer centre.

The role is offered for an initial 3-month period, with a Tuesday to Thursday working pattern (6 sessions) and no on-call commitment, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist palliative care to patients within the cancer centre
Deliver holistic assessment and management of patients with complex needs
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care
Offer clinical leadership and expert advice to colleagues and partner services
Support advance care planning and end-of-life care pathways
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential:

MBBS or equivalent medical degree
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
UK Right to Work
Strong communication and teamworking skills
