Job Title: Locum General Practitioner (GP)
Location: Scotland
Rate: £100 per hour
Contract Type: Locum (Will likely have ongoing shifts each month)
Start Date: ASAP

Shift times: 12:00-20:00 (some flexibility may be considered)

The GP is supported by a triage nurse, receptionist, and Charge Nurse and/or Assistant Service Manager, and uses Adastra patient administration software (training can be provided if required)

Additional details:
* Travel expenses will be reimbursed
* Overnight accommodation can be considered, depending on distance travelled
* Payment to be made via agency, with invoices submitted to NHS Borders
* The Walk-in Clinic provides unplanned primary care, consisting of new minor ailments (symptoms starting in the last two weeks). The service does not see minor injuries

About the Role
As a locum General Practitioner, you'll provide high-quality primary care services to patients in a variety of settings, ensuring continuity of care and supporting local healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducting consultations and managing acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribing medications and referring patients as appropriate
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For
Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• MRCGP or equivalent
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• Experience in out-of-hours or urgent care settings
