NHS Lothian are looking for a diligent, knowledgeable agency Registered Nurse with recent NHS experience in outpatients and dermatology, to come and join their team of health care professionals and specialists.

Working alongside a friendly, welcoming team of dedicated professionals, you will be utilising these resources to provide emergency treatment and ongoing medical care of the highest calibre to patients.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with minor surgical procedures (e.g. biopsies, excisions, lesion removals)
• Prepare patients for procedures, including clinical checks and consent
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow aseptic technique
• Support during procedures by handling instruments and monitoring patients
• Provide post-procedure care, including wound care and dressings
• Give aftercare advice and patient education
• Manage clinic flow based on procedure appointment times (3090 minutes)
• Accurately update and maintain patient records during clinics
• Support and treat dermatology pathways
• Work closely within a multidisciplinary dermatology team
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
• You will need to pass an enhanced background check. - PVG
