About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurses to join premier healthcare teams across Bristol's major NHS trusts. In this role, you will provide exceptional, specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns, premature infants, and their families within dynamic and high-support regional neonatal environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, family-centered clinical care to neonates requiring intensive, high-dependency, or special care.

  • Monitor vital signs, manage mechanical ventilation, administer medications, and operate specialized neonatal monitoring equipment.

  • Assess infant development and manage complex care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary medical teams.

  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and education to parents and families during a vulnerable time.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid NMC Registration (Adult or Child Nursing).

  • Proven post-registration experience working within a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).

  • Recognized neonatal intensive care nursing qualification (desirable).

  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

  • Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to family-centered care.
